Strategy
Regional economic development is a dynamic process which involves a number of interlinked activities which together create growth in the region.
The links between the individual activities, and not the individual activities, are what create the dynamism; which drives the development.
This dynamism (see the figure) can be enforced by cluster initiatives by companies which share knowledge, skills or service flows and which learn from one another through cooperation. This paves the way for new entrepreneurs. Participating companies develop through interactive learning via the network, which brings about innovative growth.
