Danfoss Motion Controls Division is made up of four business units - Danfoss Drives, Danfoss Gearmotors, Danfoss Silicon Power and Danfoss Solar Inverters - with production facilities in China, Denmark, Germany, Slovakia and the United States. We are a world leading developer and manufacturer of motor controllers for applications such as pumps, electric motors, conveyor belts and cranes, and are amongst the world leaders in development, manufacture and sale of solar inverters.
Right now we are looking for an experienced functional safety development engineer to maintain and expand our market leading position.
Your challenges
This is your chance to contribute your expertise to the Functional Safety function of Danfoss Drives and to have a constantly developing job that carries plenty of responsibility.
You will be part of a team responsible for the safety concept development, defining safety requirements with respect to both hardware and software. You will be making a strong contribution to software/hardware architecture and design, while ensuring that the functional safety is always in accordance with international norms and standards. As you will lead certification activities, you will be in close contact with certifying authorities like TÜV, UL and Berufsgenossenschaft.
You will join one of the most innovative and professional development environments using modern design and simulation tools and the newest testing equipment. To be constantly at the forefront of the knowledge within our field, we cooperate closely with important national and international universities and standardizations groups. Qualifications
We are looking for a curious and ambitious functional safety development engineer, who enjoys working with many different people exchanging knowledge and experience.
Your educational background is probably a university degree in electrical engineering, software, computer science or similar. We also imagine that you have knowledge of analogue/digital electronics, μC's and industrial field busses like PROFISAFE & CIP Safety. You are familiar with the standards IEC 61508, EN 954 and EN 13849 and have experience within software quality assurance and safety critical systems.

Danfoss Drives in Gråsten, Denmark, is located in historic and scenic surroundings, close to the towns of Sønderborg and Flensburg, and only a two-hour drive from the big city of Hamburg, Germany.
